Google earth pro wont open9/6/2023 ![]() ![]() Just wish I could open it up but it wont stay open for long enough. Its annoying because I have lots of locations saved on Earth and am in the process of house hunting and it is really useful for that reason alone. Have even tried installing the other Pro version of Google Earth and that has the same problem.Ĭant understand it as all other aspects of my Mac work fine and have no problems with my Mac at all. There was an icon that appeared on my screen asking me to do a software update (if that’s the correct expression) to Earth which I did and since updating, I have this crash problem. Thread 0 Crashed:: Dispatch queue: -threadĠ 0x913b850a CFRelease + 2042ġ 0x168d8d56 NP_Shutdown + 27 Path: /Applications/Google Earth.app/Contents/MacOS/Google EarthĪnonymous UUID: 7DECD243-A7BD-06EF-F1C1-0EB0A3BC0BC0 I deinstalled and reinstalled it, but same thing. I went into C:program filesGoogleGoogle Earth Proclient and double-clicked on it, but same thing. I double-click on the icon but nothing happens. All of a sudden yesterday, it simply wont start. So, if you are one of these virtual tours, and you want to use the ruler, simply exit the tour and the feature will get re. This is done with the intention to keep you invested in the tour, rather then getting distracted by the other features. Its probably me not expressing myself clearly enough.ĭetails attached of the error report which shows the version of Google Earth in question which is 7. I have Windows 10 (version 1803) and have used Google Earth for over a year. Whenever you initiate a virtual tour on Google Earth, the ruler feature automatically gets greyed out. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. ![]() Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Now all of a sudden it won't open unless I Run as Administrator. Was working just fine up until a few days ago. When I try to open, it briefly displays the splash screen and then goes away. Isolating an issue by using another user account I installed Google Earth Pro on one of our users laptop running Win 10 Pro. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. ![]()
